Ali Mowlaei

Ali Mowlaei (Persian: علی مولایی; also written Molaei or Moulaei), son of Ali Javad, was a 23-year-old from Izeh in Khuzestan Province. The Abdorrahman Boroumand Center records him as married, and the Fadaian (Minority) organisation's remembrance of the Izeh dead describes him as a new groom.

He was shot in Izeh on the evening of 25 Aban 1401 (16 November 2022), during the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising, on the night later remembered as Izeh's "bloody night". Alireza Najafi, public relations director of Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in Ahvaz, told local media on 26 Aban that Ali had been wounded in Izeh and, because his condition was critical, had been sent with two other wounded people to Golestan Hospital in Ahvaz, where doctors could not save him; he died in the early hours of 26 Aban (17 November). Official accounts called the shooting a terrorist attack. BBC Persian reported that at the funeral of Kian Pirfalak, killed the same night, his mother said plainclothes forces had fired on the family's car.

The same night also killed Kian Pirfalak, Artin Rahmani, Sepehr Maghsoudi, Reza Shariati, Ashraf Nikbakht and Milad Saeidian Jo. Footage published by Voice of America's Persian service on 30 Aban showed his wife attending his burial in her wedding dress.

The Iran Human Rights Society's list of 662 (no. 294) and its consolidated list, the NCRI's Persian list (no. 449) and English list (no. 448, as Ali Molaei), Persian Wikipedia's table of the 1401 dead (no. 489), the Boroumand Center's Omid memorial and the Shahidan Ghiyam memorial all record him among those shot in Izeh, dating his death to 25 Aban 1401, the day he was shot.
