Memorial story
Amir Norouzi
Amir Norouzi (Persian: امیر نوروزی; also written Nowroozi or Nowrozi), son of Jabar, was from Bandar Anzali in Gilan Province. AUSIRAN records his date of birth as 23 December 2003, which would make him eighteen when he was killed, and Amnesty International's 2026 report Lives Cut Brutally Short also gives his age as 18. Earlier lists, including the Iran Human Rights Society's list of 662 names (no. 35), Persian Wikipedia's table of the 1401 dead and the English and German Wikipedia lists, give his age as 16.

He was fatally shot by security forces in Bandar Anzali in the opening days of the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising. Most lists, including the Iran Human Rights Society's, the NCRI's Persian list of 185 names (no. 70) and its list of 647 names (no. 71), and AUSIRAN, give the date as 31 Shahrivar 1401 (22 September 2022); Amnesty International gives 21 September 2022. Persian Wikipedia records a combat bullet as the cause.
At his fortieth-day gathering in Bandar Anzali, crowds came out and mourners at his grave chanted the mourning line "this wilted flower has become a gift to the homeland"; Voice of America Persian published footage of the chant on 13 Aban 1401 (4 November 2022), and BBC Persian covered the Anzali commemorations among those held across the country. The Shahidan Ghiyam memorial also remembers him among the early Gilan victims.
