Bahaldin Veisi (Persian: بهاالدین ویسی; also written Bahaedin or Bahauddin Veisi) was a 16-year-old Kurdish teenager from Javanrud in Kermanshah Province. The Iran Human Rights Society's consolidated list gives his father's name as Abdollah.
On the evening of Sunday 29 Aban 1401 (20 November 2022), during Woman, Life, Freedom protests in Javanrud, he was killed by direct fire with live ammunition from government forces, according to Hengaw and the Hana Human Rights Organization; the sports teacher Erfan Kakaei was shot dead in the city the same evening. That night his older brother, Najmeddin Veisi, was also wounded and taken away by government forces. Hengaw and Hana say Najmeddin was later pressured into a forced confession against himself, and Dadban reported that he was released a month later.
On the morning of 30 Aban (21 November 2022), thousands of people attended the burial of Bahaldin and Erfan Kakaei at Haji Ebrahim cemetery in Javanrud and chanted protest slogans. As mourners returned, forces opened fire on crowds in central Javanrud with war weapons, including DShK heavy machine guns, according to Hana, VOA Persian and Persian Wikipedia's article on the Javanrud massacre. On 10 Dey 1401 (31 December 2022), government forces attacked the fortieth-day memorial for him and six others killed on 29 and 30 Aban. Hengaw counts him among at least 13 Kurdish children and teenagers killed in the uprising. The NCRI's English list (no. 492) and Persian list (no. 508), Persian Wikipedia's table of the 1401 dead (no. 458), German Wikipedia and the Iran Human Rights Society's list of 662 (no. 335) also record him.
