Kobra Sheikheh Saqa (کبری شیخهسقا), known as Dayeh Kobra, was born on 3 Mordad 1342 (25 July 1963) in the village of Malakandi near Miandoab. She married at thirteen, raised four children, worked as a homemaker alongside farming and livestock with her husband Vahed Soltani, and lived on Kargar Street in Mahabad. Relatives remembered her as hardworking and almost always smiling.
On Thursday, 5 Aban 1401 (27 October 2022), after the funeral of Esmail (Semko) Moloudi turned into citywide protests, she joined neighbors outside her home. From about thirty metres away, security forces fired military rounds. A bullet struck her neck, exited her back, and even pierced the house door. She died in surgery at Imam Khomeini Hospital. The same day, Zaniar Abubakri and Shaho Khezri were also killed in Mahabad.
Security forces later attacked mourners with shotgun pellets and tear gas at Bagh-e Ferdows cemetery and pressed the family to claim a "unknown car" had shot her. Her husband refused. BBC Persian, Radio Farda, the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, and Hengaw documented her life and killing.
