Mehdi Kaboli Kafshgiri (Persian: مهدی کابلی کفشگیری) was a 15-year-old boy from Gorgan in Golestan Province.

He was hurt during the Woman, Life, Freedom protests in Gorgan in mid-Aban 1401 (November 2022). Iran International reported on 2 Azar 1401 (23 November 2022) that he had fallen into a coma after being beaten by government agents during the protests, had been in hospital and had died, and that he was buried in silence because of security pressure. The Iran Human Rights Society's list records that he fell into a coma on 25 Aban (16 November) after violence by security agents and later died in hospital, and its consolidated list, Persian Wikipedia's list of children killed in the uprising and the Say Their Names memorial describe death after torture or beating in custody; Say Their Names says he was seized and beaten by Revolutionary Guards forces and died less than a week later.

Within days of the Iran International report, the head of the Golestan judiciary, Heydar Asiabi, gave a different account in state media: he said emergency services were called to a road accident in Gorgan on the night of 24 Aban, that Mehdi had crashed a motorcycle into a guardrail at high speed with a friend riding behind him, that the place and time were away from the unrest, and that he died on 1 Azar (22 November 2022). He attributed this account to statements by the boy's father and friend. Independent rights lists continue to count him among the children killed in the uprising.

His family later invited people to his fortieth-day memorial at his grave at the Roshanabad shrine in Kafshgiri village on Saturday 10 Dey 1401 (31 December 2022). Iran International's report of the announcement described him as a child killed by security agents during the Gorgan protests. The Iran Human Rights Society's list of 662 names (no. 369) and its consolidated list, the NCRI's Persian list of 185 names (no. 461) and list of 647 names (no. 521), Persian Wikipedia's tables and the German Wikipedia list, which records death in custody, all include him.
