Morteza Hasanzehi

Morteza Hasanzehi (Persian: مرتضی حسن‌زهی; also spelled Hassanzai / Hasanzei) was a Baloch man from Zahedan. He is one of several men of the Hasanzehi family named among the dead of Zahedan's Bloody Friday. Haalvsh's updated roll of 105 dead, republished by Rasank in September 2023, lists him next to Omran (son of Ali), Arman, Zolfaghar and Mahmoud Hasanzehi, and Kampain's October 2022 rolls likewise list Morteza, Zolfaghar Jan, Arman and Mahmoud Hasanzai. These rolls give no age or father's name for him.

On 8 Mehr 1401 (30 September 2022), after Friday prayers at the Great Mosalla beside Makki Mosque, security forces opened fire with live ammunition on worshippers and protesters. Memorial pages say he was killed by direct gunfire, and the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center's Bloody Friday documentation also names him. A 2023 roll of the dead of Mehr 1401 printed in Nabard-e Khalq (No. 469), compiled from Mojahedin-e Khalq, Haalvsh and HRANA reports, lists Morteza, Zolfaghar, Arman and Mahmoud Hasanzai of Zahedan together with Salman Maleki under 10 Mehr 1401 (2 October 2022), a date that differs from the 8 Mehr date in the other rolls.
