Setareh Tajik (ستاره تاجیک) was 17, of Afghan origin, and lived in Tehran. Memorial notes place her birth on 28 Aban 1383 (18 November 2004). She loved painting.

On 31 Shahrivar 1401 (22 September 2022), during early Woman, Life, Freedom protests in Tehran's Naziabad neighbourhood, she was fatally beaten by security forces. Amnesty International reviewed her official burial certificate, which recorded death from "multiple injuries caused by collision with a hard object," consistent with severe blunt trauma to the face and body. Security agencies harassed the family to keep silent.

In its 2026 report Lives Cut Brutally Short, Amnesty International lists Setareh Tajik, age 17, among the victims of crimes against humanity during the 2022 uprising, recording that she went missing, died and was found on the same day, 22 September 2022, in Tehran. Amnesty named her, together with Mohammadreza Sorouri, as one of two Afghan adolescents killed in the crackdown. Some protest-victim rolls, among them the list republished by Iran Global, record her death as caused by gunfire; Amnesty's review of the burial certificate points instead to a fatal beating.
