Zaniar Abubakri (زانیار ابوبکری), about 20, was from Mahabad in West Azerbaijan. He held a mechanics diploma, finished military service, worked first in a garage and then in building façades, and had become engaged in Tir 1401. His wedding was planned for 25 Aban 1401. People in Mahabad later called him the "Groom of Mahabad".

On Thursday, 5 Aban 1401 (27 October 2022), after the funeral of Ismail Moloudi and amid Woman, Life, Freedom protests, he joined demonstrators in the city center with his mother, Nishtiman Ghaderpour, and younger brother. Radio Farda and BBC Persian, citing people close to the family, say he was shot with a war bullet in the abdomen in front of his mother, taken to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Mahabad, and died after emergency surgery. His death certificate recorded arterial rupture from a bullet. He was buried the same day at Bagh-e Ferdous cemetery. Hengaw named him with Shaho Khezri and Kobra Sheikhe among civilians killed by government fire in Mahabad that day. BBC reported his age as 22, while Radio Farda and RFE/RL reported about 20.
