Alireza Vakili was 56 years old, lived in Isfahan and was the father of two children.
On 19 Dey 1404 (9 January 2026), during the nationwide protests, he was shot by security forces at Se-Rah-e Simin in Isfahan. His body was returned only on the condition that the family announce him as a Basij member and hold no ceremony. He was buried at night with only his family present.
