Alisina Mostafavi, 39, was a professional mountaineer and musician from Bam in Kerman Province. He took part in the nationwide protests of Dey 1404 (January 2026).
Security forces arrested him at his home in the early hours of 5 Ordibehesht 1405 (25 April 2026) and beat him during the arrest. Branch 1 of the Kerman Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Hadi Aghaei, sentenced him to death for "moharebeh" (waging war against God), acting against national security, and assembly and collusion. The authorities accused him of two shootings in Kerman during the spring 2026 war and of sending photos and videos of the protests to Persian-language media abroad; these claims have not been independently verified, and human rights groups reported that his confessions were extracted under torture. Branch 41 of the Supreme Court upheld the sentence on 6 Mehr 1405.
In his last days he was moved to solitary confinement in Kerman's Shahab Prison and his family was called for a final visit. He was executed in Kerman, and the judiciary announced it on Wednesday, 22 Mehr 1405 (14 October 2026).
