Arash Yazdani (Persian: آرش یزدانی; also recorded as Arash Yazdani Hemmatabadi and, on Iran International's Javidnaman memorial, as AmirMohammad (Arash) Yazdani Hemmatabadi) was a twenty-seven-year-old student and athlete from Tehran. Those who knew him described him as the head of his household, cheerful, and a gentleman.

On Thursday night, 18 Dey 1404 (8 January 2026), around midnight in the Haft-Hoz area of Narmak in eastern Tehran, he saw a girl who had been shot and went to help her. Government forces then fired on him as well. Three live rounds struck his side and kidney. People tried to take him to hospital for resuscitation, but he could not be saved. His body was moved to the Kahrizak morgue. Close relatives identified him there with difficulty, and the family received the body on 20 Dey 1404 (10 January 2026). The funeral was held under heavy security, with officers around the house.

Hengaw Organization for Human Rights verified that state forces killed him with live ammunition in Tehran. HRANA's report The Crimson Winter lists him among the confirmed dead, and memorial posts keep his memory among the Narmak victims of that night.
