Arshia Asgari (Persian: ارشیا عسکری; also written Askari / Asgari) was a seventeen-year-old from Mashhad in Razavi Khorasan. Some early rolls give age 18; HRANA's Crimson Winter and most memorial tallies keep 17.
On the evening of 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), during the Mashhad massacre of the nationwide protests, he was shot in front of the Mashhad state radio and television (IRIB) building, also remembered as Television Square (میدان تلویزیون). Daadaar and Persian Wikipedia place the killing at that site. Later accounts of the same night identify him as one of the wounded who firefighter Hamid Mahdavi carried on his shoulders through smoke and gunfire before Mahdavi himself was shot dead; Arshia reached hospital but died of severe bleeding.
HRANA lists him among the confirmed dead of Mashhad. Iran Massacre and Manoto memorial posts record a fortieth-day ceremony at Behesht-e Reza in Mashhad, with images shared by his brother.
