Danial Karshennas (Persian: دانیال کارشناس), also written Danial Karshenas, was a 31-year-old man who lived in Yazd. His family roots were in Darab in Fars Province, his father's hometown.

He was shot in the throat during the protests in Yazd, in front of the provincial governorate building near Imam Hossein Square. A message from someone close to him, shared by a memorial account, says he was hit from close range on Friday, 19 Dey 1404 (9 January 2026); some memorial posts give Thursday, 18 Dey. Two people took him to a hospital, but he could not be saved. Hengaw verified that he was killed by direct fire from government forces during the Yazd protests, and HRANA lists him among its confirmed victims in Yazd.

The day after he was shot, officials called his family, asked about him and said they would be informed of his condition. For days the family searched different agencies and prisons without finding him. On Thursday, 25 Dey (15 January), they found his body at Khold-e Barin cemetery in Yazd, where it had been registered as unidentified, and they were only then allowed to bury him there.

According to memorial posts, his family and friends were pressured to keep his name out of the media. The family was not allowed to hold a 40th-day memorial in Yazd and was made to pledge silence, so a ceremony was held in Darab on 20 Bahman. On 28 Bahman 1404 (17 February 2026), a video received by Iran International showed mourners at his 40th-day memorial honoring him with cymbals, drums and applause.
