On Thursday, 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), opposite the IRIB building in Bandar Abbas, a war bullet struck him from behind in the head and neck; when the body was returned the temple wound was clear. The death certificate claimed “pellet shot,” which the family says is false, and no hospital in the city recorded him as admitted; he died at the scene. From Friday morning the family searched hospitals, police stations, prisons and morgues until they found him in the Banu cold store, which a source said then held around four hundred bodies. Officials had told them no bodies would be released until protests ended; his was returned on Monday and escorted under security to the city exit, then buried in Anbarabad because burial in Bandar Abbas was refused.
