Erfan Abdipour
Erfan Abdipour was a resident of Tehran. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights verified that he was shot dead during protests in the Sadeghiyeh neighborhood on Thursday, 9 January 2026, near the Goldis complex and close to the Shahr-e Ziba and Dehkadeh taxi stations. Reports confirmed he was shot in the heart with live ammunition by a government sniper positioned on top of the Goldis building.

Erfan Abdipour was a resident of Tehran. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights verified that he was shot dead during protests in the Sadeghiyeh neighborhood on Thursday, 9 January 2026, near the Goldis complex and close to the Shahr-e Ziba and Dehkadeh taxi stations. Reports confirmed he was shot in the heart with live ammunition by a government sniper positioned on top of the Goldis building.
A source told Hengaw a friend took him to Ibn Sina Hospital; his family searched through the night and learned of his death from morgue images. The next morning relatives went to Kahrizak, searching among more than 1,500 body covers before identifying him. He was buried on Saturday, 10 January, in Section 329 of the cemetery.
