Record & remembrance

Dates, places, sources, and messages — the same details as the full profile, kept on this page.

Esfandiar Naderi was a 32-year-old Yarsani man from Hashtgerd in Alborz Province, a husband and the father of a daughter.

On 18 Dey 1404 (8 January 2026) he was hit by pellets during the protests. The next day, 19 Dey (9 January), he returned to the streets, was wounded in the leg, and was then shot again by security forces and killed.

During the protests he sent messages to his wife and daughter that never arrived because the phone network was cut. To his wife he wrote: "If something happens to me, don't be afraid, stand like a lion." His last words to his daughter were: "I love you very much."
