Hamid Ahmadnejad Sarhammami was a father from the Pazvar area of Babol in Mazandaran Province. He was killed in Babol during the nationwide protests of January 2026, on 18 Dey 1404 (8 January 2026); one report gives the date as 19 Dey.

According to people who knew him, he went out into the streets to find his two sons, who had been detained. Near Nowshirvani Park, he was shot in the side with a sniper rifle, and the bullet passed through his body. He dragged himself toward Mehregan Hospital, but before he could get help, three men beat him with the butts of their rifles and then fired a final shotgun round at him.

Another published account says he was hit by shotgun pellets in the Shahrak-e Behzad area and was then beaten by security forces. Both accounts describe a wounded man who was beaten instead of being allowed to reach medical care.
