Record & remembrance

Dates, places, sources, and messages — the same details as the full profile, kept on this page.

Lia Lotfalian was a 67-year-old woman from Tehranpars in eastern Tehran. She was killed on 9 January 2026 (19 Dey 1404) during Iran's nationwide protests.

Her son, Barzin Arabi, told Radio Farda that she had gone out with a first-aid kit to help people wounded in the protests. During the crackdown she took shelter in a house together with several other protesters, and plainclothes forces shot her there with a shotgun.

For twelve days her family searched hospitals, cemeteries and every place they could think of for news of her. Her body was finally found at Kahrizak and identified through fingerprints. Iran International's Javidnaman memorial and the NCRI list of 29 January 2026 also record her as 67 and killed in Tehranpars.
