Maria Karimi (Persian: ماریا کریمی) was a woman from Tehran who was shot dead during the nationwide protests of January 2026.
Witness Report records her as shot to death in Tehran on Friday 19 Dey 1404 (9 January 2026), one of the deadliest nights of the crackdown in the capital. The Iran Human Rights Society's list of those killed in the 1404 protests includes her among the Tehran dead, and the PMOI/NCRI list of 450 additional names, published in English and Persian and republished by Iran Efshagari, also records her under Tehran.
The sources disagree on her age. The PMOI/NCRI list gives 58, while Witness Report gives 36, born in 1990 (1369 in the Iranian calendar).
