On the evening of Thursday, 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), during the nationwide uprising, he was shot by government forces in the Haft-Tir area of Gohardasht in Karaj. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights verified his killing by direct fire, and the Pishtazan-e Rah-e Azadi memorial says a combat round struck him in the abdomen. Informed sources told Hengaw that his body was taken to Hasankad, a mountain village in the Asara district of Karaj and his family's place of origin, where he was buried under strict security restrictions. Hengaw confirmed his identity alongside Abolfazl Arvin-Talab and Mohammadreza Zamini among those killed by direct fire in Karaj. The Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation's Omid memorial records him as 32 and killed in Karaj, and Iran International's Javidnaman memorial also lists him.
