Pouriya Hamzeei (Persian: پوریا حمزهای) was a twenty-year-old, unmarried young man from Isfahan. Iran International's Javidnaman memorial records him as 20 and from Isfahan.
During the nationwide protests of Dey 1404 (January 2026), he was shot at the Abshar crossroads in Isfahan. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reports that a sniper positioned on the roof of a Bank Melli branch hit him in the shoulder, and that he was taken to Isfahan's Sadoughi Hospital, which Hengaw describes as a hospital of the Revolutionary Guards. Hengaw lists him among those shot on Friday, 19 Dey (9 January 2026); HRANA and accounts shared by people who knew him give the night of 18 Dey (8 January).
According to Hengaw, his family was not allowed to visit him while he was held in the hospital. After a week of constant inquiries, officials told them to go to Bagh-e Rezvan cemetery. When relatives saw his body, the wound in his shoulder had been bandaged, but they found the mark of a finishing shot (tir-e khalas) to his chest. Iran Pedia's roster of the Dey 1404 dead records the same account: wounded in the shoulder, then killed with a finishing shot in the hospital.
HRANA lists Pouria Hamzehei among the confirmed dead of Isfahan. Hengaw verified his identity among twelve people killed by direct government fire in the Isfahan protests.
