Record & remembrance

Dates, places, sources, and messages — the same details as the full profile, kept on this page.

Siavash Farrokhi was a 37-year-old resident of Tehran and his sister's only brother. She has written that he was so kind and caring that she believed he would be at her side all her life.

On Thursday, 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), he told his mother he wanted to go out to join the protests. When she begged him to stay home, he answered: "Mom, if I don't go, then who will? Look at our lives." That night, on 20-Metri Street in Afsariyeh, Tehran, he was shot by Islamic Republic forces, first in the hand and then in the back, and was killed in the first hours of the crackdown.

He did not come home. His family searched hospitals for two days before finding his body among the dead at the Kahrizak forensic centre.
