Faezeh Hosseinnejad, a 23 years old midwifery student and resident of Mashhad, lost her life on the evening of Friday, 09. January 2026, during protests in Mashhad.

According to reports, Faezeh Hosseinnejad was present at the protest gathering along with her parents. At around 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 09.01.2026, near Milad Square in Mashhad, she was directly shot. Reports indicate that after being struck by a bullet, security forces at the scene attacked her with batons. During the

incident, Faezeh's mother was also injured.

Based on available information, despite suffering severe injuries, Faezeh was transferred alive to a medical clinic, but she later died due to the severity of her bleeding.

Sources reported that after her death, her body was not immediately handed over to the family, and only after extensive follow-up were they allowed a brief viewing. It has also been reported that the burial process would take place without the presence of her family.
