Ramin Raeisi (also spelled Raisi or Raiesi) was a 28-year-old young man from Isfahan who was shot dead by government forces during the nationwide uprising of January 2026 (Dey 1404). On the night of Friday, 9 January 2026 (19 Dey 1404), he took part in the protests in Baharestan, on the southern edge of Isfahan, and was hit by gunfire. After that night his family could find no trace of him.

His relatives searched hospitals and detention centres for nine days. According to Iran International, they finally found his body in the mortuary of Bagh-e Rezvan cemetery in Isfahan, with four bullet wounds to the chest. A memorial account published online says his body had been kept in a fruit and vegetable market cold store before it was identified. His body was handed over to the family on 18 January 2026 (28 Dey 1404), and he was buried at Bagh-e Rezvan.

Isfahan province saw one of the bloodiest crackdowns of the uprising. Iran Human Rights collected testimonies describing the extensive use of live ammunition against protesters and passers-by on 8 and 9 January 2026, and a witness from Baharestan told the organisation that security forces fired at "old and young, women and men"; the overall death toll there has not been independently verified.

Ramin's death was followed by a second loss for his family. On 19 January 2026, one day after his burial, his young relative Alireza Raeisi was arrested by Intelligence Ministry agents at the entrance to Bagh-e Rezvan cemetery. Iran International and Hengaw describe the two as cousins; other reports say Ramin was a cousin of Alireza's mother. According to Iran International, one piece of evidence used against Alireza was a voice message he had sent Ramin about joining the protests. Alireza was tried in the so-called Alikhani Square case, sentenced to death, and hanged in Isfahan's Dastgerd Prison on 5 October 2026.
