On the evening of Thursday, 11 Dey 1404 (1 January 2026), as he and others were returning from a protest in Azna, IRGC Hilux vehicles attacked the group. A war bullet struck his abdomen. Iran International confirmed the account with a relative.
On the morning of 15 Dey (5 January 2026), security agencies returned his body after five days and forced a silent burial without ceremony in the long-empty village of Deh Haji. Relatives said IRGC Intelligence, police and the local Basij pressed the family to blame protesters and present him as a Basij "martyr"; the family refused. He was later listed among Azna cemetery burials in Lorestan.
