Abolfazl Bao (Persian: ابوالفضل بائو; also written Baou / باهو in some lists) was a 16-year-old from Qaemshahr in Mazandaran Province. On 30 Shahrivar 1401 (21 September 2022), in the opening days of the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising, he was killed by a bullet to the heart.
A roll of that day's dead compiled by Hossein Ronaghi and republished by Iran Emrooz counts at least nine children aged 13 to 17 killed on 30 Shahrivar alone, with Abolfazl among them. Radio Neda's anniversary list of at least 28 young people killed across Gilan and Mazandaran that day names him with two other Qaemshahr dead, Rahim Kalij and Mohsen Mohammadi Kouchaksaraei.
He is buried in his home village of Barfeh-Kola (Barfikola) near Qaemshahr, according to the grave-documentation project Mazar-e Shaghayeghha. Persian Wikipedia and the Iran Freedom roster of 369 martyrs record the same age, city, cause and date.
