Ahmad Anjefi (Persian: احمد آنجفی; also spelled Anjafi), son of Mahmoud, was a sixty-seven-year-old retiree, runner and athlete from Arak in Markazi Province. Witness Report gives his year of birth as 1958 and his age as 68. A lifelong lover of sport, he won major successes in athletics and is remembered as a two-time Asian champion. A local admirer also remembered him as a teacher and wrote that he was the pahlavan (champion) of his city. He was married and had a family.

On the evening of 18 Dey 1404 (8 January 2026), during the nationwide protests, he was killed in front of Arak's Mosalla. According to Witness Report, he was shot in the back and leg and then struck on the head with a baton or machete. Friends said he had gone into the streets to stand up for the young and did not return. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, which verified his killing by direct government gunfire, and Iran Pedia's roster record the date as Friday, 19 Dey (9 January).

After several days of effort, and only after giving a written pledge, his family was able to recover his body. He was buried on the morning of 22 Dey under security conditions, with a small number of relatives present, at the cemetery of the village of Marzijaran. The Arak athletics board held no memorial for him, and friends who placed his photo in a gym were pressured and threatened to remove it.

Hengaw, Iran International's Javidnaman, Witness Report, Iran Pedia, and HRANA all record his killing in Arak.
