Omid Norouzi (Persian: امید نوروزی) was a 35-year-old Gilak artist and language teacher from Rasht in Gilan Province. Memorial accounts describe him as a teacher of Turkish who had lived in Turkey and had returned to Iran to visit his family. He was a husband and the father of a daughter.

On the evening of Thursday, 18 Dey 1404 (8 January 2026), during the protests on Namjoo Street in Rasht, he was shot by live ammunition fired by government forces. Hengaw verified that he was struck in the head; some memorial posts also mention a wound to the heart. He died at the scene. HRANA lists him among its confirmed victims in Rasht.

A voice recording circulated after his death. In it he says that if he is freed, people should be happy instead of him and leave a place empty for him and others like him. His sister later shared a message among the graves at Bagh-e Rezvan in Rasht. He is remembered among the dead of Rasht from those days, including Abbas Arezu.
