Saman Ghadrbigi (Persian: سامان قادربیگی; also Saman Ghaderbeig), son of Abdolkarim and Gohar, was born on 10 Tir 1367 (1 July 1988) in Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, according to Kurdpa, and was 34 years old. The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported that he was married and the father of two children. A person close to him told Kurdpa that he played an active part in organising the protests in Bukan.

On the evening of 24 Aban 1401 (15 November 2022), during the Woman, Life, Freedom protests, he was shot directly by security forces in the Mirzaei neighbourhood of Bukan, then taken away and held, and for two days his family had no news of him. In the early hours of 25 Aban they were called to the hospital in Mahabad, where they were first told he had been in an accident and then that he had killed himself. He was still breathing, with bruising on his back, abdomen and chest and blood coming from his nose and mouth, and the family said staff did nothing to treat him. He was moved by ambulance to Taleghani Hospital in Urmia, and about half an hour after he was admitted to the emergency ward the family was told he had died. Hengaw reported at the time that he was killed on the night of 24 Aban; Kurdpa and the Hana Human Rights Organization give 25 Aban (16 November) as the day he died.

When the family was told he had taken rice tablets, they asked why his stomach had not been pumped and received no answer. The forensic doctor in Urmia issued a burial permit without an autopsy, and the death certificate gave the cause as "behavioural disorder illnesses," a claim the family firmly rejects, saying he was physically and mentally healthy. His body was released after seven hours, once his parents signed a written pledge. Security forces fired at people outside the mosque and the family home to keep them from the one-day memorial, and threats stopped the family from holding the seventh-day and fortieth-day ceremonies.
