Ahad Ebrahimpour Abdoli was a resident of Nurabad (Delfan) in Lorestan Province, from the village of Hasan Gaviar Mirbeg. Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported that he was approximately 35 years old and unmarried.
On the evening of 1 January 2026 (11 Dey 1404), during protests in Nurabad, Iranian government forces shot him in Baath Square. Eyewitnesses told Hengaw he was struck by three bullets, one of which hit his heart, and that he was shot while trying to help a woman whom forces were attempting to arrest.
Hengaw also reported that security forces and the city’s Friday prayer leader pressured his family to claim he was a Basij member killed by “enemy forces”
a narrative his case evidence does not support.
